Haver, Inc. offers Computer-to-Screen Imaging Systems from Diamond Chase Digital and OLEC Technologies Corp.

DCD has system choices to meet various size requirements for “textile”, “standard graphics” and large format applications. They also have systems specifically designed for “Sakurai” press frame formats.

Diamond Chase Digital has joined forces with the Swiss based Heinrich Mantel AG company to offer the high speed, high resolution computer-to-screen system called the DataScreen™. Many years of quality screen manufacturing enabled Diamond Chase to enter the digital industry with a strong pre-press approach. The DataScreen™ strengthens the "systems approach" from the frames to the press set-up and registration.

Quality
Since CTS does not require film or a vacuum frame, the screen quality is improved. Debris on the glass or film is transferred to the image in a typical imaging process. Eliminating this process means that only dust and “dingleberries” are the only thing you need to worry about.

Resolution
The Mantel "Computer to Screen" system utilizes 4 print heads with various output settings to optimize both speed and resolution. The DataScreen can operate in a 360 DPI up to a 1440 DPI based on the complexity of the artwork. Most vector files will run in the 360 or 720 mode for speed. Halftones of 65 to 85 LPI will run in the 1080 or 1440 mode. Print quality and output speed are linked together.

Speed

The operator can use a single print head up to all four print heads. Speed comes with all four heads working together. Multiple options are available for getting the best resolution and run time. It is not necessary to change any of the settings once a comfortable format is chosen for all print jobs within a company.

DSI Digital Screen Imager

The DSI Digital Screen Imager provides the highest resolution with its unique print head technology. A smaller drop size and solid ink technology enables imaging frequencies up to 110 lpi. Sophisticated interlacing patterns ensure smooth halftones and color transitions for the most demanding applications. The DSI operator can chose among several different setting for optimum image quality without compromising on throughput and consumable cost.
